What's your all time favourite episode?

I am just curious what your all time fav episode is and why? Say you could only ever watch one episode and none of the others - which would you pick?

Mine is today's episode - and I am so glad to have finally got it on DVD! It's just soo funny - Joe Mcgann pretending to be in the bath and that whole scene cracks me up everytime! Just a pity he wasn't the one being oogled as Caroline puts it!
In Who's the Boss I am told that the whole bath scene was done in one take - with Tony Danza (who played Charlie's equivalent) actually seeing all and it was his real, true reaction to seeing Judith Light (caroline eq) rather than a body double.

Is is just me or do you think these first episodes are a bit er strange...Diana and Joe don't play the roles evry naturally - and many times you feel like you are actually watching Joe and Diana badly act scene rather than a day in the life of Caroline and Charlie....things definetly improve later on in series 2 in my opinon. saying that though - my fav episode is one of the first ones.

(and Tom is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying isn't he!!!??)

So what's you fav episodes? Which episodes could you do without?

the first one 'just the job' and 'cheers'

Father of the bride would have been my favourite if the writers hadn't screwed it all up by rushing it, i think we've talked about this before, but if they had built that up for like a year (maybe two?) introducing dan to the family having him in the show for a year so we can get a liking to him, getting engaged, building up to the wedding then the wedding day itself then it would have been one of the greaest tv moments in itv history it would have also garnered higher ratings!

To marry charcters in sitcoms, drama's, soaps ect the audience really have to agree with it, but i for one really couldn't - would you be happy about your 18 year old daughter (who you given up everything for remember!) marry some complete stranger who you've just met after only 2 months of dating?

Did you ever see the wedding epsiodes out of the royle family or only fools and horses they had great emotion attched to them, they never just sprung it on us so to speak that's where the upper hand went wrong!

Yet they had so much to work with! - we never really heard jo talk about her mother - that would been the best opportunity - the day of the wedding, getting ready, talking to her dad about how she missed her, how she wished she was here, how she's looking down ect

It was an amazing opportunity, as we had litteraly watched her grow up from the age of 11/12! - and she was played by the same actress (another rarety in long running sitcoms) to me it ruined 5 years of investement into the character which like i said could have been one of the best and most emotional tv weddings in sitcom history!

If they ever do a remake i hope they do it properly - what does everyone else think?

I'm thinking with your episode choices that your favourite character is Joanna?

Just the Job I have to say is one of the worst episodes for me - It's just Joe and Diana doing some real, unrealistic acting - I hate it. Tom is so obnoxious, Laura just isn't Laura and the line of Caroline's "give me strength" makes me cringe everytime!

One of my favourites - my favourite is tom!

Only kidding i think nick although a guest character was great!
But dont you just think Kellie Bright was just adorably cute?

Nick, nick nick ergh - any nick episode are my most hated ones. The only thing in my opinion he added to the show was that lovely scene right before the wedding where he talks about Charlie's ex-wife looking down on him and being pleased for him - that was nice.

Hmm yes Jo I suppose was quite cute - and she stayed level headed and nice even when she grew up. Cheers and once bitten twice shy were fab episodes, Kellie really played the part well. I think my favourite cute jo moment was in working girls when she tells Caroline she's like a mother to her - that was really nice. I think more character building should have been done between their relationship. In Who's the boss unlike the upper hand the jo and caroline characters had a real rocky relationship - nothing like we have in our series. Even in cheers how Caroline comes to help Jo when she's drunk - and Kellie was hilariously funny in that episode!
