According to IMDB:

If you like this title, we also recommend ... "Survivor" (2000)

Uh ... why is that, exactly? Is this based on algorithms or something? Because it's certainly not based on logic.

That's bizarre. It must be based on certain people rating both highly, but it's hard to think of any TV shows that are more different.
