Will the new season receive any awards attention ?

As we all await our return to the town of twin peaks , a voyage I am eager to go on.. what if any attention from the various award shows do you anticipate it may receive ? With lynch directing the entire season are we thinking he gets some directing nods? Writing Noms for him and frost perhaps ? Or maybe some acting nominations for Kyle mclachlan ? Feel free to indulge me on your musings .. I'm really just looking for some fresh convos about one of my favorite shows of all time !

I feel you. I vowed i would wait until right before twin peaks 2017 started to rewatch seasons 1 and 2. I couldn't wait so im now rewatching twin peaks for the first time since i was a teen. To my delight it is just as timeless as it was when it came out. As far as awards, i could care less about that kinda thing except i guess i hope it doesn't get any. Simply because if it is as good as i anticipate i doubt any of the award people will even understand it.

I don't even know how many times I've watched the entire series. I originally had it all on VHS, which was also the first time I actually saw it all in the mid-90's since I had a job as a pizza delivery person back when it first aired and only caught the tail end of a few episodes. Got the DVDS now and I usually try to watch it once a year every spring. Even got my new wife into it, and she's just 28. We're going to start watching the series again this year, this coming week, after watching Fire Walk With Me, and the television prequel movie first this weekend. Still can hardly believe it's coming back. But you are right, and who needs ridiculous awards anyhow?

"Will the new season receive any awards attention ?" Oh god let's hope not. Maybe in Italy, France or Japan but with a little bit of luck Season Three won't get a single american award. Fingers crossed. Like getting a hand made birthday card from your third graders you try to teach at the sheltered workshop.

She has a kind of psychiatric cabaret. Very good. There was something about Suez.

Why don't you want awards? Awards would signal that it's good, wouldn't it?

I hope it receives award recognition, though I have a feeling that general audiences and non-fans of the series (which may include some mainstream critics and award shows) will just see Season 3 as another reboot of a classic show (i.e. X-Files Season 10, Dallas 2012-2014 continuation, 90210, Fuller House).
