Multiple Lynch/"Peaks" actors in other projects

Has anyone ever noticed that when actors from Lynch projects, especially "Peaks", appear in other movies or shows, it's usually more than one in that particular project, even if it was before the show? This is an odd phenomenon I've found over the years, and the examples are very numerous. I can't say I've made a list, so I can't mention a ton off the top of my head, but it's just something I've found over the years looking at cast lists for shows/movies.

For instance, "NCIS: Los Angeles" has Linda Hunt and Miguel Ferrer. "The People Under the Stairs" was probably cast with Robie and McGill because of their participation in "Peaks", and possibly the same thing with Warren Frost and Grace Zabriskie on "Seinfeld" (which also had Ian Abercrombie and Brenda Strong). Strong and MacLachlan were on "Desperate Housewives". Then both Beymer and Tamblyn were probably both cast in "Peaks" because they happened to be in "West Side Story", but that's still an example (then a side thing is that Lynch later worked with Natalie Wood's daughter). "Silent Night, Deadly Night 3: Better Watch Out!", released before the show, has three actors -- Beymer, Eric Da Re and Laura Harring. "Dreamscape" stars Max von Sydow and David Patrick Kelly.

I don't know, just something odd I've found.

Maybe we notice it more when the actors or whatever artists have been together in a production that has a strong personality, like Twin Peaks. Actually I've seen it with other groups, and not just recent ones, nor just under the old studio system. A nice feature of sites like imdb is that they make it easier to trace connections.
