Episode: The Old Man and the Seaduck

Anyone else love that episode? It's my favorite and I especially love the last scene. Here is a video clip of the last scene but I must warn you that you probably should not view it unless you have seen the episode or it will spoil it and won't make sense.

Awesome episode. It's definitely in my top three. It's basically about a man's Baloo great will to survive coupled with his own personal fear and the very illusion of another Joe McGee that allowed him to overcome his amnesia. This episode's ending was the best one out of all the episodes and it features a solid ending and the simultaneous portrayal of the psychological and emotional aspects make it a very gripping and thought-provoking ending. Whether the character's own courage kept him alive or the guardian angel he imagined was a conundrum but not the message. The message and great moral was that even under the most dangerous circumstances, one must overcome their fear which in this case was flight and learn to adapt to the situation or face a fate worse than any other. What saved him from having a similar fate to that of the previous pilot who landed in that situation was his will to survive. And as that pilot aided him in his quest for survival, he may very well have played the role of the Guardian Angel.

This episode was a knockout.
