Jukebox

You remember that Jukebox when they put the money in you saw it roll down and those stupid mice things sang? I HATED that. It was sooo annoying. Other than that, the show was pretty cool.

Put him in a BODY BAG!

I'm really not sure whether I found that part "annoying" or not, but thank you so much for helping my memory - more and more of the show is coming back - I can almost picture the characters again!

Thanks for helping to restore a part of my childhood, strange as it may sound . . . :)

They weren't mice...they were puppets of humans...

They sang mostly country western songs like:

"Get out the way old dan tucker
Your to late to come for supper
supper is over and dinner is cookin'
and old dan tucker's just standin' there lookin'"

Well I too found the jukebox to be annoying EXCEPT when they played a "Railroad Song". I am a huge railfan and I remember when they played the "City of New Orleans" they used old footage of the Chessie (System) Steam Special from the 70's!! I always loved it when they would put footage of REAL trains with the RR songs.

reply

Well, considering they usually played railroad songs....

They're easy enough to put up with, except when they did that stupid "Have You Ever Seen Such A Funny Thing Before?" song. (It's in the episode 'Achoo', for you YouTube watchers.) That scared the *beep* out of me as a kid... and to this day it's pretty damn bizarre.

reply

Well there were mice in place of the jukebox people.

I didn't find it annoying as a kid...it was creepy!

Hey, don't knock the Jukebox Band, dude. They're classic.

As for mice, there was a time when Schemer got a new jukebox in which a bunch of mice sang "What's New, Pussycat". It was in "Once Upon a Time".
