Stumbled on the premiere episode of Seinfeld, and while wondering where Julia Louis Dreyfuss would appear in the credits (2nd is good, but 4th following " ... and" is good also.
And what do I see? No JLD, but someone named Lee Garlington. Guy or girl? So I'm watching the show and I guess SHE is Clair, and she's a laconic waitress. Lasted all of one episode. What's the story behind that? Anyone know this actress? Guess she was in Field Of Dreams, but sure wasn't Amy Madigan.

Yes, she starred in "Field Of Dreams". After her only appearance in the "Seinfeld" pilot, her contract wasn't picked up.
