I don't know if it's just a coincidence or not, but lately whenever I watch this show, the episodes never feature the stand up scenes with Jerry doing his comedy act in between the plot. Have they been deleted from the airings for more commercial time or am I just not catching any episodes with those scenes?

The standup routines are only in the earlier episodes. The question should be, when were they phased out or did they end abruptly?

Ah ok, makes sense then. Right now I think they're showing mostly later episodes. When I was younger I must have mostly watched earlier episodes because I remember seeing those scenes a lot more back then.

shareI did not find them the least bit funny which made we wonder how successful Jerry had been in his stand-up career prior to the series. I doubt they were intentionally bad. I imagine they were phased out because either Jerry ran out of material from his routines or they got some audience feedback that showed audiences didn’t like his stand-up either.
