Amazing!

I absolutely love this show, and I am saddened that it isn't shown anymore. You can find all 65 episodes on YouTube, and I do think this is amazing. Great animation, fantastic theme tune, top notch voice talents(Tim Curry especially as Hook)and fun storylines. Not to mention some constantly funny moments like Hook trying to fly in one episode. This is by far my favourite Peter Pan adaptation, and don't get me wrong I love anything to do with Peter Pan, the books being part of my childhood, as well as the Disney film, but this show just rocks, and deserves more recognition as one of the best animated shows of all time! Of course I gave this show a 10/10, though I would give it 100 if possible. It deserves a higher rating on IMDb, well that's what I think anyway.

my top 10 favourite episodes:(though all of them are so good)
1. The Demise of Captain Hook- If you though the Legend of Sleepy Hollow is scary, this is really, really macabre.
2. The Girl Who Lives on the Moon- Peter pretends to be a gentleman here in one part to settle a score with Hook, and Hook's reactions were priceless.
3. Dr Livingstone and Captain Hook- I was in tears of laughter watching this episode, who could think Hook could be so hilarious?
4. The Dream- Beautifully constructed episode, especially the first two minutes. Hook is really evil in this one, and he even saves his men and does a back flip.
5. Hook's Christmas- As cliched as it might sound, this was really entertaining. What a real Ebeneezer Scrooge Hook is, and it was nice to look into Hook's past.
6. The Play's The Thing- Wonderful from start to finish. Tim Curry- who is absolutely phenomonal consistantly in this show- is born to play Shakespeare, why doesn't he do it more often? His recital of Friends, Romans and Countrymen was fantastic, I had a lot more fun watching this than Timothy Dalton overdoing Antony in Antony and Cleopatra I assure you. Listen out for: "Oh Shakespeare, give thanks that you aren't here to witness this atrocity" which is one of my favourite Hook quotes.
7. Mardi Gras- Entertaining, nothing much else to say.
8. The Rake- Hook's brother's ghost is scary, I can tell you that. Great story too.
9. Slightly Duped- Same as Mardi Gras.
10. Elementary My Dear Pan- Love Sherlock Holmes, and having Pan as Holmes, John as Watson and Hook as Moriaty was an inspired job well done.
Honourable mention: Frau Brumhandel- Loved the classical music featured, and how well it incorporated into the story. Tim Curry even sings, one of the highlights of the whole show, and the scene with the whole pirate crew singing instead of speaking cracked me up, no wonder Hook compared them to the Pirates of Penzanze.

And you couldn't have asked for a perfect finale, what superb writing, that managed to funny and moving at the same time. I will admit I did shed a tear at the end, and fell off my chair laughing when Hook hugged Peter and dropped him.
