Did any other devotee of One Foot, not like the Victor advances toward M

Mrs Warboys implication, wrong of course, in the plot near the end of the series?
The banter between Mrs Warboys and the Meldrews had always been hilarious, especially in One Foot in the Algarve. This implication making Victor out to be sinister, hitting on her, ruined all this, for me, and smacked of the writer running out of plot ideas

That's actually one of my favorite episodes. I think there's a lot of comedy to be got from Mrs. Warboys thinking Victor could be in love with her, and the incident of Victor inadvertently sitting on her in the bathtub (which is part of what made Mrs. Warboys think Victor had the hots for her) is, in my opinion, hysterical, as is Mrs. Warboys' tattoo. To me, Mrs. Warboys thinking Victor likes her is funny because we know these characters so well, and we know how Victor finds Mrs. Warboys insufferable. In hindsight, it's true that that plot idea has been used before, but I do think it worked quite well here. Anything to do with affairs of the heart is a good standby, because we can all relate to it.

Om Shanti

I love the bit when she walks into the kitchen and it's all dark

Mrs Warboys - OOH! Mr Meldrew, whats going on?!
Victor - It's alright Mrs Warboys! come right on in! I thought it would be a good idea if we sat down and had a little chat!
Mrs Warboys - oh my god, whats that horrible rubbery thing?! Now you keep away from me Mr Meldrew!
Victor - Mrs Warboys!
Mrs Warboys - oh no! god! HELP! HELP!

It's one of the best bits! It wouldn't have been funny if Victor had really flirted with Mrs Warboys, but the whole point of OFITG is Victor always getting into accidents thanks to other people's stupidity, like a reverse Frank Spencer.
