It looks like the plans have already collapsed. A tweet by TVMoJoe:

If they cant bring back the show, for the love of god, can someone at UNIVERSAL fix the damn issue with the music rights

The UK blu-ray release is supposed to have all the original music. See https://moosechick.com/DVD_world.html

That's probably because the UK distributor agreed to pay for the royalties.
