I didn't realise anyone else ever watched this

My mate and I from school were tho only people I knew who watched this. Over the years I've mentioned it to other people who know comedy pretty well, but they had never heard of it.

I'm really glad to find out that other people enjoyed it as much as I did.

I got the DVD at lunchtime from Virgin (by Tottenham Court Road, only one other copy there so be quick!). Can't wait to watch it tonight.

I know what you mean....I've got a couple of close friends who are mad about it like me,but when I mention it to most people I draw a complete blank.I got hold of the DVD,I've just sat and watched most of the first series in one sitting - brilliant stuff. It's weird because I've just finished watching a box set of the first two series of 'Shameless' too,so I'm pretty much Threlfalled Up.

I had been chasing the TV companies about releasing it on tape or at least repeating it as soon as it was broadcast until I finally gave up 5 years ago. No one knew who held the rights. Great to know its on dvd and good to know there were others out there who appreciated it. Ideal post-pub comedy.

Were you as gutted as me, when you eventually watched it?

God, it's awful isn't it!

I first watched it when I was ten years old, thought it was great. Back then, moronic catchphrases seemed pretty funny to me. Nowadays, it's about as funny as a bad episode of 'My Family'.

Shame.

Er,no,I still thought it was fantastic - in fact,I've already watched all the episodes twice.Nothing is worse than 'My Family'...except maybe 'Blessed'.Or most other sitcoms these days.....

Well from what I remember it was shown quite late at night wasn't it? Around 11pm on channel 4? Fridays? I remember watching it and enjoying it so I'm glad it's out on DVD at last. A forgotten gem - I hope more people discover it - being a fan of Nightingales (or even just remembering it) puts you in a minority.
