just got this on region one dvd from ebay

i looked and looked and looked for this film for years. i googled it and could not find it except in region 2 suitable only for england.

then it was suggested to me that i check ebay. i found a seller from florida that seems to offer this item on a regular basis brand spanking new, and she ships FAST.

do a search on ebay and you can get this gem of a mini series for yourself.

it is just as good today as it was when they first ran it on a&e all those years ago.

OH, great!! After I bought a DVD player that would play the British version and paid in pounds for the British version, NOW you tell me it's available for Region 1. My timing always was bad, but this is ridiculous. After waiting 18 years I still did it wrong. I'm joking; I'm so glad it is available to wash the taste of the Hollywood version out of our mouths. Another wonderful thing about the British version: it sticks strictly to the book. In fact, I see no reason why they would even pay a screen writer, since even the narrator lines are straight out of the book. Everybody enjoy! And hold on to it; you will want to watch it again and again.
