Thank you robbystrauss for that thoughtful and generous response to my review. When I watched it 1991 here in the US, it was shown on commercial television. Its running time with commercials was 6 hours. Here we also refer to hour long and half hour long tv shows, not 44 minute and 22 minute tv programs.
Granted, now that I've been able to see a few other UK tv productions such as Royle Family, Shameless, Queer as Folk or anything that Steve Coogan has done, my standards are a little different. All the same, you don't have to be such a *beep*
