Laughing at the one bad review!

When I saw this coming out in an American cast I actually cringed. Even with the great Meryl Streep (and really Ed Begley as the husband?) it was awful compared to the genius of the original. So when I read the one bad review here on Imdb, I had to laugh. The reviewer is obviously not someone who appreciates truly fine humor and must think humor with things like throwing pies in people's faces are high brow comedies. Ugh. Then the ultimate insult is she won't be checking the book out of the library? Wow. Not that she won't be spending her money buying the book, she won't borrow it. That told me all I needed to know about the intellect of the people who found this as brilliant as I did.

I disliked both book and the mini seeries, finding them grotesque and macabre. Not my cup of tea at all. So I thought the film was an improvement.
