Serena

Why was Serena fired?

reply

In the show, Branch decided that she was too passionate towards defendants. He said defense attorneys should be hot blooded, but prosecutors should be cold blooded.

reply

Branch fired Serena because they didn’t see eye to eye on issues, he felt that Serena was overly sympathetic to defendants and too soft.

Serena’s exit is infamous for her line “is this because I’m a lesbian?” because that came way out of left field and nothing had been said about her sexuality before.

Serena was one of the weaker ADA’s overall IMO.

The weakest.

Because the actor Elizabeth Rohm wanted to pursue other acting roles. That ending of s,. 15.e 13 "Ain't No Love" was so ridiculous though. The DA fires her because she's "too passionate and an advocate", which ignores that he's an advocate himself: for rightwing causes. Then out of the blue she says, "is it because I'm a lesbian?" WTF. After 5 years and no hint at all of this, the writer decided to throw this line in. An it's so obvious Rohm isn't, and they decide to play this PC game.

^ Agree. Rohm is straight. Also agree she was not as good as Harmon (who I disagreed with on a lot of cases).

Angie Harmon was good. Yes, unfortunately she was a Republican in real life. Not sure what she is now aside from doing those Lifelock 360 TV commercials. But I liked Rohm better in the politics and looks department. I just thought the whole lezbo thing negated the past 5 years of her episodes. Finally Season 15 Episode 7: Gov Love Serena takes a stance against gay marriage, so when did she suddenly go lezbo??
