The Major and Hycinth

The Major has a real thing for Hycinth - he calls her his "little flower" and says she reminds him of the Govenor's wife who was built like a battleship. Hycinth never seems to learn that it's dangerous for her to be anywhere near him. Yet because of his standing and not his lechery she puts up with it.

He also calls her "The Bucket filly, pronounced 'bouquet!'" And when they're looking for a country cottage, the keeper who's showing them the cottage also calls her a "sturdy" gal, as do a few others.

I don't think she perceives this as either good or bad, but she's getting attention from "high ranking" people and that's the most important thing.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.
