"really speaks to me, that song, jeeves..."

"i'm sorry to hear that sir."

I liked when Bertie was at his piano singing "Minnie the Moocher" before Honoria Glossop's parents arrived, and he asked if he should sing it for them. The dialogue ran something like:

JEEVES: "I have not heard that Lord Glossop is musical, sir"
BERTIE: "Lady Glossop is."
JEEVES: "There is also that to be considered, sir."

Hilarious!

When Wooster say how clever it is that Sweden rhymes with Needin'.
Jeeves says yes, almost sir.

In "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde, Algernon turns from the piano and asks his valet:

"Did you hear what I was playing, Lane?"
😁
Lane: "I did not think it polite to listen, sir."

Now that's hilarious. 😁

reply

What was the one that went something along the lines of;

"Is that music I hear, Jeeves?"
"Of a sort, sir."

😁

Why are there no cucumber sandwiches?

There were none to be had, sir. Not even for ready money.
