Needs a regular host again

I think the rotating host idea has gone stale. In the nine years it's been going they have invited a wide range of folk to do it but now I really can't see them getting anyone in that would bring anything new.

They now really need a regular host and my first choice would be Kirsty Young. Anyone else agree?

I think Alexander Armstrong would be better. He's hosted more times than any other guest-host, has a Deayton-esque suaveness, can be funny with a script, but isn't really an ad-libber, so he's willing to take a back-seat and let Paul and Ian run riot as it suits.

Sidenote - I was half-watching last night's episode, and there seemed to be a slight moment of friction between him and Sarah Coren?

John Sargeant was also superb - he's hilarious himself, and gets on well with both Ian and Paul.

Either of those two would be ideal, in my view. Boris Johnson and Brian Blessed were great, but having them every week would wear the joke out.
