Anyone remember 'Oops!' ???

"Oops!" was a TV show on around the same time as "Get a Life", and it might have appealed to the types of people who (like me) were watching "Get a Life".

The premise of "Oops!" was that most of humanity had been wiped out, and a few people had to recreate society in a household being possibly the only half dozen or so survivors. The show was, of course, a wacky sitcom. I can't find anyone else besides me who watched or even remembers this show. How about it? Anyone out there know what I am talking about? What did you think? I was rather young at the time, and I'm just curious whether it would hold up to my more refined standards of today as well as "Get a Life" has.

Ya I remember this show.... It seemed like a re-hash of hermans head more than get a life... I do remember liking this show but I was pretty young back then too and I think it only ran like half of a season so its not too fres in my head. anywho good times!

Too crazy for boystown; too much of a boy for crazytown.

yes, i specifically remember watching this when i was 12. was it called "oops!" or "woops!"? either way, it has continually made lists of the worst TV shows of all time, but i didn't think it was THAT bad. one bit of dialogue that my sister and i quote to this day is when the homeless character said something like "well, i guess i'm going to go putter around the box now." classic television right there.

Did you ever see the episode where the smarter of the two blondes found a crystal that made her breasts larger, and just for fun/curiosity, she wore it to see how the guys reacted. Of course, they did their typical thing. Anyway, she eventually got sick of it and tossed it. The guy who makes me now think of Richard Karn found it, not having any clue as to its properties, and stuck it in his pocket (like you would do most anything you find). Of course, about this time, everyone else is looking for it, and they ask him, "Hey, have you seen that crystal?" "Yeah, it's in my pocket.. why?" and credits. LOL That was my favorite episode for that last part. Of course, I only remember that and the one where they tried to make a money system out of twist ties.

One thing that I remember about that awful show was in the pilot, where everyone is telling just how they managed to survive the blast- one guy was in a bank vault, one lady was in a cellar, etc. They ask the main character where he was, and he said, "I was driving to work..." and they all interrupt him, asking how he could have survived on the highway, and he said, "Well, I was in my Volvo..." and everyone's like, "Ohhh...now it makes sense!" Volvo must have loved that free safety plug, if only on a crappy shortlived sitcom

Or the Thanksgiving episode with the 200 foot tall mutant turkey. That may have been the high water mark.

Another show from "Get A Life" days was "The Edge." I think it came on the half-hour before "GAL." It was a sketch comedy show. Remember? It had Jennifer Anniston on it, and Tom "SpongeBob" Kenny? I didn't like it so much.

The Edge was hilarious!

After 8 or 9 episodes it did seem to start to lose its way, though I kept watching until the end, wondering why the theme tune changed or why the skit format changed...

I remember a "best of" episode a few weeks later but in 1992 had no clue the show was canceled.

Wasn't it axed because of some controversy?

Does anyone remember that show "Whoa!" It was great. How about that show "Whee!" Even better. But my fave was that show "Whaaat?" I really hated "Oof," though. It was a total rip-off of "Whump."
