Wonderful Murals, But...

...did we really need to see them everywhere?

I mean, that can't be cheap to have done, and there are places where they just don't belong: Police station, hospital room, gun store, villain hangout, etc.

Can't believe they didn't have any at Star Labs.

I loved the show when it originally aired... didn't really pay them any mind ( I was 12, it was a superhero show, what did I care for set design?)

But re-watching the DVDs the murals kind of took me out of the show... like you say they were just 'too much' and in odd locales... The Police Station and Hospital were quasi-logical as it could be explained as a Municipal 'beautification' order or some such x years in the past

the eclectic placement would fit more with a Depression era busy work project... but the art is too consistent

What is even more strange is that the same type of murals are present at some of the villain hideouts. The artwork is very similar - no attempt to make them different (I'm sure that the same set painters were used).
