Moment of tension

In the Series 4 episode "The Wedding" there is a brief, blink-and-you'll-miss-it, moment of tension between Helen and Sally (I'm not joking) at a hen night, then they get interrupted. I don't know if it was in the script, or something Ingrid Lacey added to the scene, but it was pretty bizarre and I wonder what would have happened if that thread had been developed. Did Helen's partner (in the later series) even show up onscreen, let alone kiss?

What everyone else think? Or am I reading too much into that scene?

I thought that too! Umm, Helen's girlfriend showed up in S5, I think it was. Her name's Amanda; & they do kiss - then George walks in =P great episode!
