Easiest game.

It was possible for anybody to make a complete hash of every game I know, but I remember lots of games that were too easy. The crystal would be won every time it was played.

The battering ram game in Medieval was won every time I recall.

Were there any other games that were wone every time they were played?

reply

The make a square into a cross/cross into a square game in Medieval.

reply

i guess there must have been one really easy game in every zone, so the producers could pick it if the team was doing REALLY badly

reply

There was the one in Aztec where they had to reconstruct the cube outside of the cage.

My whole life just flashed before my eyes. It was really boring

reply

ive seen episodes where contestants have actually failed the battering ram game and the cube one thats how dumb most of the contestants actually were ......

I doubt it - the team who went to the dome with 1 crystal got the movement sensitive box automatic lock-in challenge as their last one before the dome!

Industrial Zone... putting 2 wires around 2 gigantic screws, screwing them down, and pressing an oversized doorbell.

reply

i've seen this one messed up several times

reply

The one in the Future zone where you had to crawl through a mirror maze to reach the crystal.

reply

I think that crawling maze was one of the harder games. Crawling at speed for a couple of minutes is physically hard work. Plus it’s a 3d maze which can be very confusing.

Everyone who played this game won it though.

There was another one in the Industrial zone that was a cage maze. That one looked quite difficult and I remember someone getting locked in because they ran out of time on the way back with the crystal.

reply

I think that you may be right and I was mix the cage maze game in. Can't remember the 3d maze. see I can catch it on a repeat.

Great game, but definitely one of the easiest ones ever.

There was a game where you got a lazer and had to shoot a robot 3 times before it shot you 3 times. I only saw the game once, but the guy won it easily.

The Mumsy questions and answers game in Medieval. I can't remember anyone failing to win that one.

reply

I've been watching series 1 and nearly all the games have been messed up from time to time.

The crossword one was failed in episode 8.

I don't think I've seen anyone fail the counter balance one in Aztec.
Mumsy in Medieval zone has been completed each time
In the industrial zone, where you have to use the poles to climb up to the crystal, everyone has done that
Climb the spider's web also has been done so far but I'm sure people have been locked in that one.
In future zone there's the airlock one which I've only seen a couple of times and has been completed.

The hardest ones with the biggest failure rate are, IMO
The matchstick puzzles
Change the cube to a rectangle (done once so far)
Build the shape from the blocks of wood

As someone wrote somewhere, it's not a matter of how difficult the puzzles are but the sort of people chosen to compete. Then again, it's easy for me to sit here and say that.

Although several people failed to complete it, in season 1 there was an unbelievably easy game where all the contestant had to do was walk along a very very slowly rotating pole that was above water, reach for a stick with a hook on it and then reach for the crystal, that was hanging in a basket.

Like I said, I've seen several people fail it, mainly by spending far too much time getting across the pole (I saw several female contestants crawl along it, spending nearly a minute doing so and then struggling to stand up again at the other side) or by dropping the crystal in the water after retrieving it, but really it was an easy game that could be completed within 30 seconds.

Yeah, there was a lock-in on that one too.

There was one woman who failed to complete the battering ram game.

There was one unbelievably easy one, where all you had to do was put together these blocks in order to create models of playing cards, that was in Medieval, I believe.

There was also one in Industrial, where the contestant had a list of words they needed to complete, using sequences of three letter blocks.

There were quite a lot of games that were just ridiculously easy; but it balanced out with ones that were close to impossible (like some of the maze games).

I remember this game, but the doors won't fall down unless the ram is stacked correctly, so there is obviously someone behind the scenes judging whether or not to release the catch lol ;-).

Yea there were easy games.
I always thought that the one with the load of mini drawers in Ocean, was easy. (to me, watching) because it's simple co-ordinates that the rest of the team helps with anyways lol.

The one with the looong chain that reels stuff out of the water.... I always wanted to try that one.
I always wanted to have one of their padlocks (I used to collect padlocks as a kid. for some reason lol)

There was also the 'move the 4 stones pyramid from the first position to the third one' in Aztec.

reply

I think the battering ram was probably the easiest game. Quite often, you'd see people get Mumsie/Aunty Sabrina's questions wrong

reply

Watching it now, the 'turn a square (made of four pieces) into a rectangle' game in the Aztec Zone is a piece of piss. They still failed it, though.
