I got this last week on VHS (9 tapes). Just ended the 1862 year with the emancipation but no mention of Fredericksburg. The next tape has the title of 1863. Hmmm, maybe it gets mentioned in the very beginning?

IIRC they spend quite a bit of time on it, especially from Chamberlain's point of view. I don't remember which episode though.

It does at the beginning of 1863.

It is in the the first 1863 episode. It is looked upon as a flashback if you will.

Fredericksburg is indeed covered - but Perryville and Stones River get nary a mention.
