I can think of no better place to list my favorite documentaries than on the board of this great documentary.

5. Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars-1973-D.A. Pennebaker
6. Human Remains- 1998- Jay Rosenblatt
7. The Last Waltz- 1978- Martin Scorsese
8. Benjamin Smoke- 2000- Jem Cohen & Peter Sillen
9. The Thin Blue Line- 1998- Errol Morris
10. Speed Racer: Welcome To The World Of Vic Chesnutt-Jem Cohen & Peter Sillen
11. Dear Jesse- 1998- Tim Kirkman
12. Don't Look Back- 1967- D.A. Pennebaker

Numbers 1-3 are interchangeable. The rest are all great viewing.

There are alot of fine documentaries I have never gotten a chance to see though...

And I have to add that both Triumph of the Will and Olympiad are extraordinary films to look at, even if they are politically reprehensible.

It is not our abilities that show who we truly are...it is our choices

Of the documentaries I've seen, these are the ones that stand out most to me. A lot of that has to do with personal interest in the subject matters.
