Should be in the TV Top 250
It would be in the top 10.
shareNot having checked "scores" on other documentaries, I'd think that its 9.5 rating might (probably would) make it #1.
shareThe only reason it is not in the Top 250 is because it doesn't have the 5,000 user ratings required to make it eligible. Currently it is 78 ratings short.
If it had the 5,000, it would be in the top 3. The Civil War has an average score of 9.5 while Number 3, Breaking Bad, has an average score of 9.4. The top 2, Band of Brothers and Planet Earth, also have scores of 9.5 (and we can't see what the unrounded scores are) so The Civil War could be 1,2 or 3.
You can see the Top 250 here: http://www.imdb.com/chart/toptv/.
I made a thread re The Civil War needing another 78 user ratings: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098769/board/thread/253505187.
Like a bird on the wire, like a drunk in a midnight choir, I have tried in my way to be free
It should get on the list eventually. I've always thought of Band of Brothers and The Civil War as the two best things ever put on television.
shareAnd...it's in. Just got the 5,000 votes needed and popped up at Number 9 on the TV Top 250 list. While the average score is 9.5, the adjusted score (adjusted for smallish sample size) is 9.2, hence the lower-than-anticipated ranking. I was figuring it would be 2 or 3, but that was based on unadjusted score.
