Brenda and Dylan's relationship in season 2...

I have never seen a couple so in love. I was really sad when the writers broke them up in season 2. Kelly and Dylan together seemed weird to me...

The writers invented this whole new backstory about how the two of them knew each other. In season one--it was established that Kelly had not known Dylan.

I was sad too. I presumed it was bc of some of the off camera issues with Doherty at the time. Garth and Perry might have been friends but they had zippo on screen chemistry as characters. It wasn't convincing. I think the studio realized it bc they tried to tease Brenda/Dylan back together in season 4. Had she stayed--they would have gotten back together.

Agree - they had really amazing chemistry.

it's good the writers did not try to keep forcing it down our throats and at least had that much common sense to understand when they made a bad mistake.

I'm also glad they tried to rectify their mistake, but I'm sad they wasted what could have been better (or at least more enjoyable) seasons beforehand.

we all know the real ending of the series should have been Brenda and Dylan marrying. That would have been memorable.

It just kills me how much they threw away in unused advertising---for months before 'the event'
