After the cliffhanger they were rescued by the tribe-eldest (a katlike figure). She knew Alfred and his friends and showed them the pot of gold. But Pickey (the magpie bird) was so obsessed by the glittering pot of gold that he sneaked out the camp during the night and stole the pot of gold. And just as in the legend, when the pot of gold was removed from the end of the rainbow, all the colors of the world started to disappear! So they wanted to search Pickey (Dutch name of the magpie). But at the airport, the pot of gold was stolen from Pickey by Dolf (the Crow, Hitler-like figure). Dolf flew to monaco were he wanted to pay his gambling-debts with the gold. So when they found Pickey they had to start over again to find Dolf. After a big persuit between Between Dolf and Alfred they got the pot back and put it back at the end of the rainbow so the colors re-appeared!
Could be... Who knows...
Redavdp, I believe you over the other guy. Thank you for putting my anxiety to rest!
I saw this in the original Dutch, and it goes further than that. The final episode that I'm aware of followed Alfred just before his birthday, he and Winnie get into an argument that leaves him horribly sad that she won't speak to him. Meanwhile Dolf broke out of jail and holds Winnie hostage while trying lure Alfred on an aimless chase. Luckily Alfred finds him with the help of Professor Peljas and he saves Winnie, even as Dolf is arrested once again. The show ends with Alfred and Winnie going back to Alfred's house to find that Hank's organized a surprise party for Alfred. It's overall a very sweet ending to what was definitely one of the best kid's shows I had the good fortune to see.
