Subbed or Dubbed?

I watched the English dubbed version of this movie last night. I really liked it, but one thing that threw me off was the main characters thick American accent and also the use of a lot of American words such as "busting their humps."

I usually prefer to watch subbed animes, as they stay closer to the original dialogue. Although I liked the movie I couldn't help but think the characters might be saying something completely different to what they actually were.

Has anyone seen the subbed version? If so, did you enjoy it more than the dubbed, how do the two compare etc?

Also, would anyone know where I can watch a subbed version online?

Subbing. No other way to view anime.

Aren't there two dubbed versions? I remember watching a dubbed version as a teen, I even have some old techno cd with songs with dubbed dialogues from classic anime movies incl. a song/ interlude with dialogue from that English dub of Wicked City. But some years later a friend gave me a dvd copy of the movie and the voices were all different.

There are indeed two versions. Streamline made a dub for this movie back in the 1990's, and this is the version most American viewers are familiar with. International audiences, on the other hand, were ill-served with a godawful dub by Manga UK. It's really laughable and stilted.

I actually prefer the UK dub to the US dub.
