i don't agree, first 2 films are incredibly boring compared with this absolutely gorgeous and one of the best HK movies in history

yes sir!
it's probably the greatest film from HK production i may have ever seen in my life, and i am 44 old geezer that have really seen a LOT of Asian especially HK films so far.
Really unforgettable film that still has something to say after 16 years which unfortunaly the same doesn't go for for the first two very outdated films.

I don't know why people say that the ABT 1-2 are outdated. ABSOLUTELY NOT. I've seen these masterpieces a month ago and they are just great. Hark's prequel is absolutely no match for these classics, it's boring, uninterested without well written characters, contacts, emotions and without great, memorable action-sequences. Simlply a bad movie.

Oh, I have, thanks. And I'm in minority or not, that's my opinion: ABTIII is a bad movie, no match to the first two. And sorry, but I don't think it's comical.
And Bullet in the Head IS a masterpiece.

In fact, Bullet in the Head was released AFTER ABT3, and Woo ripped the idea from this film! No wonder that this is such a superior film to Bullet which is nothing but a pretentious crap.

I just saw it and missed something unique from the 2 first films. It could have used 1 or 2 shootouts more.

are you serious, tsui har actually ripped off John woo's idea, ABT 2 was actually first going to be in in vietnam but Tsui hated the idea but later stole it to make ABT 3. It's not a bad movie but it's nothing compared to A bullet in the head, Masterpiece, no beyond masterpiece to something of it's own. A bullet in the head is simply better then anything tsui has ever made. But they both need each other to make a good movie, tsui and woo, great together
