Keep in mind that this man has never played any video games before, let alone TMNT for NES. Yet, we are to believe that he has progressed that far in that game in one sitting on his very first try. 🤣
The father says "It doesn't take much intelligence to play that thing does it?" Then he plays it and at level 3. That's believable.
shareNES games were notorious for being unforgiving and the original TMNT was right up there with Ninja Gaiden and godamned BattleToads in terms of difficulty. My ass he was on level 5 like it was nothing.

shareOn Ninja Gaiden I could get all the way to Jaquio and then failed repeatedly to beat him. I've tried yet again a few times as an adult and same result.
