The Wizard came out in theaters on December 15, 1989 - 25 years ago! Today, I rewatched it again to celebrate the movie's 25th anniversary. I first saw the movie on cable television (one of the movie channels) in July 2000...I became an instant fan of the movie (I was 13 years old at the time). I have since seen it dozens of times.
When was the first time you saw the movie? How did you see it (theater, video, television, online)?
I remember seeing the TV spots thinking Lucas was the "wizard".
First time: My cousin ordered it off of PPV and taped it for me.
I remember seeing it at the movies when I was 6.
shareI was 16 when this came out and I was a big Nintendo fan, I played my NES probably every day. But I to this day have never seen this movie, I think when it came out it seemed more like it was for younger Nintendo kids / players so I skipped it. I just put it in my Netflix queue to finally get around to watching it. It is going to be worth the watch all these years later???
