Probability of Kurt making that clock in one winter

I don't see any way, with the limited resources, funds and time that Kurt and the villagers had to build that bear-clock (seen at the end), that it is remotely feasible. The bear alone would have taken months and a ton of artistic skill to sculpt, mould or carve.

Hey, this is Kurt Russell we're talking about here!

What's the probability of two different factions of humanity and aliens traveling from planet to planet to carry out their civil war. Or an old lady with severe Alzheimer's remembering who she is moments before she and her husband die together. Or four men holding on to their honor to defeat a wicked priest and save the king.

The answer is not much. But Star Wars, The Notebook and The Man In The Iron Mask were all good movies. It's about entertainment and if your thinking about the logistics of the clock you clearly weren't entertained, pick a new movie.

Excellent post and I agree with every word you typed. It's about suspending reality and letting yourself get lost in the movie. To tryng to figure out "How did he have time to build a clock" for goodness sake, LOL.

Guess what Original poster, it's only a freaking movie, it ain't "REAL LIFE" so stop being so darn uptight about things and nit-picking it to death and lighten up and enjoy.

That's not an excellent post at all. The ending of The Notebook is indeed not very believable and in fact stupid (NOT a good movie in my opinion). But the other two movies don't pretend to be a representation of reality, while this movie does. The level of "suspension of disbelief" depends on the genre and intention of the movie.

Those movies are of a completely different genre and have a different level of "susspension of disbelief". But even in those movies the fact that the clock was only made in one winter would be as much of a problem as in this movie, unless magic or some advanced technology was involved.
