Barbara Carrera underrated

I really find Barbara Carrera to be something else. She is beautiful, sure, but her attitude is something else. She lays on the sexiness so thick that it's camp, but also incredibly effective at the same time. I can think of noone that is as brave at this particular mix as she. She also employed this in the much better (than this) Bond film - Never Say Never Again, in which both her and Sean Connery have phenomenal banter between alpha male and alpha female.

Betty Davis may look very old, but when she holds her head high, you still see the intense charisma. It's too bad this film isn't better, because let's face it, it's pretty terribly written and directed, wasting the grade of talent it includes.

It is still worth watching, either for fun, or half paying-attention, because there are several strong actors, and some really hilarious moments in it. It would be a funny movie to have on at a party where people were drinking, well, parts of it. At times, things go really astray, but the director seems to know enough to keep some of the overly long sequences from going FOREVER. The entire main arc involving witches really makes almost no sense. At least it's a movie that is open to its actors employing humor (prob because the director knew it was a stinker of a script), and it's not just wall to wall serious dullness.

The basic structure, premise and plot, though, are essentially non-existent, and if you catch the film late in as I did,
you will not realize Bette Davis was even in the movie until the end.
