W.B., Blue and the Bean ????

What the *beep* is up with the title? It's called Bail Out, I have the DVD. No wonder I couldn't find the film on here. Anyway, good film. Bye.

It's called AKA or also known as and MANY films have many titles - at least in the old days they did and the original title of this film was just that - Whitebread, Blue and The Bean - probably playing off some other wacky action film titles from the late 70's - Mother, Juggs & Speed (Bill Cosby, Raquel Welch & Harvey Keitel) or Freebie & The Bean (James Caan and Alan Arkin). But when trying to dump this movie into the cheapo bins at stores - to snare action fans they just slapped on the simple Bail Out. No matter - the film stands as one of the cheesiest, unintentionally hilarious bad movies ever.

I'm not convinced it was unintentional.

This film is so funny, so entertaining with its ludicrous plotting and dialogue, that it HAS to be intentional. The Hoff looks in on the joke too.

A couple of other great films which I don't think people realise are comedies are Showgirls and Cherry Falls. Hilarious.

Never saw Cherry Falls... Have to look that one up.
But HAY-ZEUS CRISTO, if you want to see seriously bad So. American stereotype, watch this film!
Eeet's a goood film, mucho funnies!

Trust me,

I think it is one of these strange paradoxes of a movie along with Death Wish 3 and many others, though I guess this one is more aware of its content.
It is an intentionally unintentional action comedy that makes jokes about prejudice but at the same time includes the stereotypes.
The sneaky, greedy and obviously jewish bailbonds man says that he can't give Garcia's (the titles Bean) family money because they will only buy marijuana and wine but earlier we've seen Garcia's household, the stereotypical family with dozens of kids living in a trailer.

It's odd that the credits on my VHS say "W.B. Blue and the Bean," but the box says "Bail Out." I guess it was too much work or cost to change the credits? I guess I shouldn't expect anything else for a film that cost a buck at a video store.

I'm sure the racial stereotypes were done for laughs, but this film feels about 10 years behind the curve in that regard. Anyway, there are bad films that I love and bad films that I hate, and this one falls somewhere in the middle. 5/10 stars from me.

I know your question was several years ago (nine, lol) but if you are still interested, the issue with the movies that are sold on DVDs under a different title than there actual name has to do with distribution rights. If you look at the titles on imdb, many movies have alternate titles from the regular one. But cheaper movies and stuff that no one really care about (like this WB & Bean movie) often get sold in bulk to companies who then sell them as $1.99 DVDs under the alternate title. I believe the deal with selling it under the alternate title has to do with getting out of profit splitting obligations (like the director or lead is supposed to get some % of the profits so they sell it as a different title to get out of that obligation).
