Something just isn't right

Not so much the American FFFF version, but rather for the original Hungarian version. Regarding the ending song:

Aki tündérekre vár, az nem tanul.
Aki fellegekben jár, majd sárba hull.
Varázspálca sincs ma már, a józan ész az úr.
Kell néha nem vitás, egy kis álmodás,

mert nincsenek új csodák,
talán jobb is így nekünk.
Hisz az élet az megy tovább,
vagy csak mendegél velünk.
Hetek, hónapok, évszakok szürkeségben szállnak el.
Napfényre várni kár, azt is látni kell,

hogy nincsenek új csodák,
anyu mondja ezt nekünk.

Néha képzeld, hogy az amit látsz, csak látszat,

I've read the English translation and it does not sound very pretty at all:

Waiting for fairies, not to learn.
Who acts clouds and mud fall.
No magic wand today, common sense is the master.
Sometimes you do not have to doubt a little dreaming,

because there are no new miracles
perhaps it is better for us that way.
Tis the life goes on
or mendegél us.
Weeks, months, seasons grayness flying away.
Wait sunlight damage, it should be recognized,

that no new miracles
Mom says this to us.
Nodding her head, but then,
I hope our hearts are different.
Sometimes I imagine that what you see is just an illusion,
slowly, very different, perhaps new spell
So give yourself a new dream of a miracle...

I don't know about anybody else on here, but it seems quite wrong to deliver such a message in this film, especially in the American version, most likely because 1.) it contradicts everything that was learned from this movie, and 2.) it sounds like a soul-crushing lecture on how we should just accept life for being boring and pointless and that the best we can do is simply pretend that our dreams are real. I really oughta know what they were thinking.
