This being the anniversary ...


... I find myself remembering the part of the film where the Major comments that with a single unknown soldier being commemorated, they could forget all the others and hence ignore the millions who died, or were missing.

He estimated that it would take eleven days and eleven hours for the dead to walk down the Champs-Elysee at the same pace as the survivors did in three hours.

Great movie - we filmgoers should get more on this subject. 'Adam Resurrected' is another in the same genre (how the survivors cope).
