I still can't find the subtitles though.
I don't recall how I obtained them, but I have a very decent quality copy with German audio and no subs and a fair (at best) quality DVDR with German audio and English subs. It is an obvious VHS rip with washed out color and somewhat troublesome to read subs. I presume public domain and it is either scrounge around all over to unearth a copy wherever or go without for this and many many other films of interest. Some genius in this digital age of ours ought to devise a master clearinghouse computer for these films, one place where we all can go. The clearinghouse clerk takes an order, hits a key for it to get copied and sent out and with a percentage going to whoever has the rights for it. Win win for everyone.
sharewould it be possible for you to rip the subtitles as .srt or. sub and email them to me? I would very much appreciate it because I won't be able to understand the whole film because German is not my native language. Oh wait, if the subs are difficult to read and if they are VHS-ripped then that wouldn't be possible. Oh thanks anyway for sharing the information.
