So what DID happen? *spoiler*

This always bugged me (no pun intended lol), but what exactly happened between Bug & Tia when they broke up?
Did he sleep with her then dump her? Did she refuse him one time too many, and reveal to her that she was just another notch on his belt?!

The movie annoyed me in that it didn't specify this. Tia just says to Buck "Everything you said would happen happened."
So we are to assume they did have sex?

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

But Bug had been pressuring Tia for sex for the entire time of the movie. What made this time so heartbreaking that made her freak out & the end of the relationship??
How did you come to the conclusion you did? I'm curious, as none of that was revealed in the film. Was there DVD commentary?

I always assumed Bug tried taking it to the next level, Tia refused,
and Bug dumped her and just went for another girl.

I also think that Bug tried to pressure Tia into having sex, but she refused. She might have found out about the other girl, and that's why she was so upset.

I think if Tia doesn't tell her uncle explicitly what happened, something serious must have happened, something she was ashamed of. It must have been more than just kissing, because they were doing it all the time, and Tia liked it. Actually, the fact that it's a sleep-over party makes one wonder if Tia actually wanted to go all the way, initially at least. So, maybe they did have sex, maybe Tia backed out before the actual act…I think what made her cry is that he treated her shoddily afterward. Maybe she did back out and he was mad that she didn't play along the way he wanted to…or they really did it, and it hurt, and he was insensitive to her feelings…or he lost interest in her quickly and turned to that other girl. "Everything you said would happen did happen." Technically, Buck didn't predict anything. He used the predator/prey analogy to tell Tia that Bug does not love her. Tia shouldn't be too surprised that Bug wants to sleep with her, the difference is that she believes he's in love with her. In the end, she knows Bug was just using her, and that her uncle was right, after all.
The viewer, of course, a bit curious about what exactly happened, but Buck was sensitive enough not to ask Tia about it.
If it please the court…
