Where do they live in relation to one another?

I know it's just a movie, and this one especially should not be taken seriously. But something just occurred to me:

How far away does George live from his Uncle Harvey and Aunt Esther?

The beginning of the movie shows that George and Bob live in the same complex as Kuni's karate school. I'm assuming Teri lives nearby as well.

After losing his job, George is seen at Harvey and Esther's house, where Harvey wins Channel 62 in a poker game. Since George is out of work, he probably didn't have much gas money, so I'm assuming Harvey and Esther live near him.

George and Teri drive to the TV station, and Bob joins him later. Kuni eventually gets a job there too.

Here's the weird part: Harvey takes a flight to meet with RJ Fletcher. An announcement at the airport says that the flight is arriving from Los Angeles.

So I'm assuming Harvey, Esther, George, Teri, Bob, and Kuni all start off living in LA, and George somehow convinces Bob, Teri, and Kuni to relocate with him to another city?

Shhhhh.... just go with it. ;) You're overthinking things.
Actually, that's a good point, I never noticed that. lol

They filmed in Tulsa, so let's assume the characters live there. Uncle Bob and Aunt Ester are either going on vacation to LA, or have a house there and live there for part of the year. We know they have a lot of money, so having another house is possible. But then why would Bob freak out over owing $75,000 if he was worth millions? That might be something about this movie where it's better not to over think it.

When I first watched the movie, I didn't catch why Harvey had to fly in either. But I've watched it quite a few times since, and remember the following:

When Uncle Harvey tells Aunt Esther about the TV station, he mentions that it's a "little UHF station on the outskirts of town." So it's close to where the party is and presumably near where George, Bob, Teri, etc. live.

When George and Teri drive to the station to check it out, Teri asks him why Harvey would let him run the TV station. George says that his uncle "trusts him" and "he's going to L.A. and doesn't want to deal with it anyway." So Harvey and Esther went on vacation or have another house there or whatever.

Not exact quotes, but hopefully that helps answer your question (even if it's from a while back).
