there are two kinds of dogs when they are approached by a stranger; they can either come up to you and sniff or they will bark at you to keep away. I want to know what kind of dog Hooch is if I wanted to come up to pet him. He's not an attack/guard dog is he?
shareHe was a protector for Amos and unfortunately couldn't save him. I would say he wasn't the friendliest because he was guard/security for Amos but not mean just very undisciplined, no training other than Amos voice commands. If he felt threatened I believe he would have badly damaged Amos's murderers. But they locked him up. He came to like Scott and gave his life to protect Scott. I love dogs and all animals, but could not deal with the slobbering and drooling. My neighbors had a Saint Bernard, the worse slobbers, those long things coming out of the sides of his mouth would gross me out. It happens when they pant, hot weather will make them pant and slobber more.
