Well most my favorites are mentioned here already so I'm not going to list them but I would recomend a movie named "The Lost Battalion" (2001) to anyone who likes war movies. This movie is a remake of a movie with the same name done 1919. In it American battalion of over 500 men gets trapped behind enemy lines in the Argonne Forest in WWI. This might be the best war movie of the WWI I have seen so far and I recomend it to anyone interested in war movies.

Also one of the great movies and deserves to mention here is "The Longest Day" (1962).
