Didn't know about this little war

I read a post from a reviewer and they stated "I'm not sure if an American would know about th Finns kicking Soviet ass much less know where Finland is..." well I have to say (being an American) I never heard of this battle that took place a couple months after Germany invaded Poland. After watching this movie I have become most interested in this. You have to give it up for the Finns they were desperately outnumbered in everything and still managed to pull it off more or less. I have also watched the documentary Fire and Ice The Winter War of Finland, it was interesting. I would love to know if there are any good books on this topic...or perhaps (which I doubt) any more movies/documentaries?

You mean finnish war movies or documentaries about The Winter War?

If you want to see more finnish war movies, I suggest you watch this list I put together about war movies. Haven't seen many of them but I suggest "Rukajärven tie" and "Tuntematon sotilas", both 1955 and 1985 versions.

Enjoy finnish history :)

Either, or. Finnish documentaries/war movies or movies/documentaries on The Winter War. Anything. I actually watched Tuntematon sotilas(1985) last night, it was pretty good. Not quite as good as Talvisota but still a good movie. I am downloading Rukajärven tie but it doesn't look like that will complete downloading for some time as there aren't many people who have this movie. I'm not a real big fan of older movies but I may also try Tuntematon sotilas, the 1955 version while I am waiting on Rukajärven tie. Thanks for the suggestions!

The 1955 version of Tuntematon sotilas is actually on par with the winter war :).
