I Really Love This movie

It's Richard Curtis while he was still indie. Well, as indie as he was ever going to get. There's Madness on the soundtrack rather than Wet Wet Wet...

Jeff Goldblume is great. I don't usully like Emma Thompson, but she's wonderful here and the film jsut fills you with that feeling that you get when you really fall in love!

One of my favourite movies!

Miles better than any American romantic comedy!

I love the sequence of Dexter having all those injections just trying to get the nerve to ask the Nurse out on a date... and the myriad of lovers that his housemate has, especially the 'beardie wierdy". I am now dating a beardie wierdy!

I love the doctor who does little barks and the large needle.

Classic.

Another reason I love this is cause a distant cousin of mine plays Mr. Morrow the blind guy allergic to his guide-dog. He's actually profoundly deaf in real life

"they say the real experts can do it without looking!"

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRep!

Love Goldblum's gradually insistent 'ow...'

"Ow. Ow. OW!"

Great, underappreciated gem.

And the love theme from ELEPHANT... 'Packing his trunk'...

I love this movie too. Brilliant stuff

"I hope all your chidren have very small dicks, and that includes the girls" excellent stuff.

Geoff Goldblum and Emma Thompson rolling around nude wrecking a room is such a wonderful scene.

Why is this movie never shown on any of the movie networks? Instead, they constantly re-play the same old tedious, contrived romantic "comedies"--Sleepless in Seattle, The Holiday, Rumor Has It, etc. Yet a truly witty film
like this never gets shown?!

I'm not crying, you fool, I'm laughing!

Right on. At 5.9 it is probably the single most underrated film at IMDb.

All of the above, it is well written and performed by a cast of excellent actors. This very funny indeed and can stand many viewings.

I saw this movie a few times when it was released on video, and now I have it in my collection. This is a great feel-good film that holds on up repeated viewings. Hilarious dialogue and sight gags, and everyone in the cast is used to the fullest extent. Charming!
