Is anyone else mad that the butchered and pureed Miramax version is the only one you can get? Is there a proper version anywhere, you know , a version with the jokes still in?

There's more than one version of this film? I had no idea! What's the difference between them? That is to say, was this movie actually filmed twice? Or is one just edited and the other uncut?

It's ghastly, isn't it? The VHS release is the only "proper" version I've ever found - the DVD versions all seem to have the humour-slaughtering voice-over.
