One story from the Slipstream-verse

'Slipstream' was a film where the "movie universe" interested me more than the story and characters. The movie seemed to me like one adventure out of many potential adventures, set in this universe. It wasn't as fully realized as some classic fiction universes, but the movie still left me wanting to see more of this world.
