Was this the movie to prove Mark Hamill was not........

.........Just luke skywalker ?,i remember a uk interview about the making of the film, and they were saying this could help make mark a star in his own right, and prove he was not just luke, and could carry a film with him being the star. We all know he was pretty peeved after star wars that harrison and not him became the mega star right ??? (or do you reckon thats a media invention ?), but bar the star wars movies, he has not really done to much has he ?

I guess being in three of the biggest films ever, makes it not matter what happens next, he was probaly set for life any way, but it always made me wonder why he never kicked on, i thought he was a great talent, but this here film was very poor, and probaly finished any last chance of him doing something big himself, if he was jealous of harrison ford, this being a flop must have been a huge kick in the arse for him, as harrison ruled the 80s with hit after hit

He became an awesome voice actor though. Which is good, because he became ugly with age.

Though Mark's given top credit, I'd say Bill Paxton carries the film. Mark is more of a supporting character. They were just cashing in on Mark's STAR WARS fame.
