Somewhat under-appreciated?

Just throwing that out there. I tried watching this when I was younger and couldn't get into it. Just watched it recently; took a while to warm up to it, but I'm glad I stuck it out, though I will credit Bob Peck with the lion's share of the appeal.

I don't think we're in CONUS any more, Toto...

I just finished watching it again, and thats the same reaction I had. Didn't like it the first time, but it really is a pretty good movie, the only liability is the effects. Had this a bigger budget, it could have really been something. It actually screams for a remake where a bigger budget, models and cgi could make for something great (I would redesign the planes not not look like planes, maybe a little more sci fi. Less obvious that they are just ultralights.) It is one part Mad Max, one part Logan's Run...

There's something wonderful about a storm.
