What scenes did you like?

Yes, the glow in the dark condoms bit was funny, but there were many more. Even certain one liners or leads into scenes that were just funny to watch. Here are a few that make the film what it is. 1. That fancy dress costume/cockup. 2. The way he hides the dog after accidentally sitting on it. 3. The piano playing whilst his apartment is being set on fire. Crashing the wedding and noticing the dog still alive "Harry"! lol. 4. The shock treatment. 5. The song they sing in the bar. 6. The keep fit/muscle woman scenes. 7. His beach house filling with water after knocking him off the sand as he was thinking. As for the rest of the film, you'll just have to watch it, for those who haven't. It's really one of Blake Edwards' more forgotten hits.

Yes I do agree with you, the costumed cocktail party and the line he gives the woman, the dog being glued to the ceiling, listening to him scream that he was blind only to find out he was wrapped in toilet paper, the electric shock therapy and the aftermath with the blind guy in the ramp, of course that laugh of the woman after the wave hits the house. I loved this movie as well, I don't get the bad rating of it either.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you-do or do not there is no try.

my favourites are similar to yours: the electrocution scene, the scene when he wrapped himself up in paper, the fancy dress scene and the divine gagwriter bit when he got blown through the door by the wave.

very very funny film:)

Yes those are classic hilarious scenes to watch. John Ritter did a fantastic job in doing the physical comedy scenes that he always did in films and the TV shows.

Yes everything that was mentioned was hilarious and this movie here should be a classic. Lucille Ball loved John Ritters physical comedy because she appeared in an hour special on Three's Company. He was great with his comedy. I caught this movie on Sundance last weekend and watched it for the first time in ages! The last time I saw this on TV was back when USA Network was a lot better and being independent with their programming compared to now. It is following what ever network is doing now due to NBC buying out USA Network in 1998 and forever altering USA Networks programming making it worse than what it was.

My favourite scene in this movie is the first 97 minutes. It went downhill after that.

But that bit where he rubs the lamp is pure class.

Obviously the condom scene has to be mentioned. I don't know if I ever laughed harder at a single moment in a movie like I did there. The aftermath of the electro shocks and John Ritter's reaction upon entering the party in a genie outfit are priceless. This was John Ritter at his best showing us how great a physical comedian he was. He was born to play in Blake Edwards movies and I wish they had worked together again.

"why did you wrap yourself in toilet paper?"

"because i was cold"

i loved it when he showed up at the party in a genie costume and then got $hitfaced, walked up to the woman and says "my name is zach hutton and my wish is to *beep* you".

Most of my favourite scenes have already been mentioned, but here are a couple of them that I found hilarious.

- One of the first meetings with the psychiatrist with Zach dancing out of the room, then returning more depressed than ever.

- The quote: "We both know you're not going to shoot. You couldnt hurt a fly" "I could, if it was *beep* my hairdresser"

- at the restaurant when he flirts with the rockstar's girlfriend and sending her a drink, only for the rockstar to return to the table and Zach fleeing.

Many more but those were the ones that I could recollect.

It's a wonderful and very underrated comedy with fantastic dialogue and great acting. A very well cast movie.

when he out of the blue bounces out of the shrinks couch singing:

Because nobody wants you when you're old and gray.
There's gonna be some changes made today,
There'll be some changes made today..

well since you're naked you might as well f___ a friend of mine. Paul come in here!

Most everything has been said so here's some that have not.

Everytime he is driving he either crashes his Mercedes or ends up in jail..LMAO..poor Mercedes.

How he is frightened when Lonnie reveals she's a female bodybuilder.

How cool Alex walks in and talks when finding her husband in bed with a woman who is holding a gun to his head in their bedroom..that scene is classic.

Insert something profound here...and try not to fight about it..

One line that was not mentioned here was delivered by his friend while they were drinking.

"Well I gotta go back and spend some time with the *beep* loved ones."

Classic.

A scene that made me cry with laughter in the cinema is where he's staggering past the guy and says "Go fck yourself!" - if you've seen it you'll know the story! The guy had earlier said "You'll probably tell me to go fck myself but..." and then some bad stuff happens.
