It's far superior to High School Musical, not to belittle that franchise, but I don't get goosebumps watching High School Musical

Todays music for the most part is sad and depressing or the musicians sing about exploiting people. There is very little happy music about good times. Thats probably why I dont buy todays albums.

This is grittier than HSM. I like this movie way more than Grease or Grease 2, which everyone seems to worship. I think Sing is better than Saturday Night Fever too. I always liked movies about life in NYC. I find it fascinating that people in these films seem isolated on their tiny little island of Brooklyn. Never mind they are only a $1.50 (I know it's probably more now) subway ride away from the commercial center of nearly every major industry in the United State.
